ZiPhone 2.3 Released (PC and Mac GUI)
February 16th, 2008 | by Justin Nolan |The amazing ZiPhone app has been updated to 2.3. If you haven’t been following along, ZiPhone is an all-in-one activation/jailbreak/unlocking tool for all iPhone and iPod Touch firmwares.
Feel free to post in the forums if you need any help with this app. The jailbreak procedure is pretty straightforward. Do a normal upgrade to 1.1.3 in iTunes, and then run the app with the jailbreak option checked.

YOU SHOULD NOTE:
It is ONLY for iPod Touches and iPhone with 8GB of Memory.
16 and 32 get the following Error:
BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0

does anyone know if the OS X Tiger issue has been sorted with this update…. I’m kind of hoping that was the whole point of this upgrade… but it doesn’t explicitly state this anywhere…

what state should our iphone be in before we hit the start button. (should it be jailbroken 1.1.2 or in regular 1.1.3 ect)

Any firmware. If you want 1.1.3, Do a regular 1.1.3 upgrade, and run ZiPhone to jailbreak.

With this ziphone so you get the software updates? my ipod came with the updates already and i have a 8 gb ipod touch so what would be the steps in jailbreaking the firmware
